Cognitive neurobiology connects research in diverse disciplines focused on the biologically motivated study of high order brain function.

We work towards an appropriate neurobiological framework for the study of our mental world. This may entail - on occasion demand - the re-casting of traditional psychological, cognitive, developmental and clinical narratives. Our purpose in this process is to propagate concepts, methods, and data across multiple levels of analysis, and to fine-tune their organic integration. This is in sharp contrast to now traditional practices in basic and clinical cognitive neuroscience, where the methods of one discipline are unthinkingly applied to the questions of another.

We do not map cognitive processes to brain activation. That's stupid.
